Howdy!  My name is Rachel Francois, and I am the broker and owner of RXR Realty. 

2022 begins my 16th year as a realtor (9th year as a broker), and I’m proud to boast that 99% of my brokerage’s business comes from referrals from past & current clients.  RXR stands for “Realtors BY Referral,” which means we aim to exceed your expectations so that you will love to refer us!  Prior to opening my own brokerage, I was with RE/MAX for 14 years and then Pure Realty for two years.  During those years, I gained invaluable knowledge from the multitude of talented, veteran agents & brokers.  

On a personal level, I am a native Texan, born in Houston and reared in the small East Texas town of Timpson. I lived in the Houston area for numerous years, yet I have also lived in Spain, Ireland, Costa Rica, and Italy. I moved to Austin in 2003 to marry my best friend and long-time love, Chad. In 2020, we welcomed our first and only child, a beautiful daughter named Teagan, and we are raising her on 5 acres in Williamson county with our numerous barn cats & 2 donkeys, Bucky & Hodie (think: Donkey Hodie / Don Quixote)

Before getting into real estate, I taught public school for 14 years, having taught Spanish and Latin to grades 6-12. The various school committees I served on throughout the years as well as the preparation and communication skills required to be a good teacher provided me valuable skills that I transferred to my real estate career. Not only am I organized and punctual, but I am a skilled negotiator and effective communicator.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree with a dual major in Spanish & English as well as a Master of Education degree with a dual emphasis in Teacher Leadership & Pedagogy and Second Language Acquisition…both degrees were earned at Stephen F. Austin State University. Axe ’em, Jacks!

Additionally, I have achieved a number of designations, showing that I have completed many hours in each specialty as well as having completed at least the minimum amount of transactions for that field.  My designations include the following:

• Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS)
• Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS)–I speak Spanish as well as a few other languages.
• Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR)
• GREEN certified, meaning I have knowledge in energy efficient practices and building processes
• Certified Residential Specialist- (CRS)–the highest designation awarded to sales associates by the Residential Real Estate Council
• Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource (SFR)–
• Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE)

My mission is to provide my clients with the best real estate service they can imagine, to communicate with them continuously throughout the transaction, and to be their real estate resource for life, even after the transaction. I follow the National Association of Realtor’s Code of Ethics, and I believe that one should do what one says.
